Driveway Overlays

Refresh Your Property with Driveway Overlays

With the harsh weather changes we go through year round here in Minnesota, our asphalt driveways are subject to damage more than other areas. As our driveways tend to be damaged and need repair, sometimes driveway overlays are the best option to bring your driveway back to life.

The Driveway Overlay Process

When we create a driveway overlay, we have an extensive process to ensure that your driveway looks as impressive as possible and lasts for years to come. Take a look at our process for creating a driveway overlay:

1. Cleaning

Since we are simply creating a driveway overlay, we do not need to remove your existing asphalt. We begin by cleaning off your driveway by blowing it clean with 200 mph of air and edge the lawn close to your driveway so that it is completely clear. We also scrub the area clean with a steel brush to ensure proper adhesion.

2. Application

We will then repair any deep cracks and potholes that may exist in your driveway. Once these are filled with asphalt. We will begin to lay a layer of asphalt over your driveway for a flat, smooth surface.

3. Curing

Once the overlay has been placed, keep all traffic off your driveway for at least 24-48 hours. Our team will recommend how long the driveway overlay will need to cure completely.
